Appointments
Our office follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines regarding routine physicals and immunizations. Each child over the age of 2 is expected to have one physical a year. We have designed our office to provide well, sick and newborn waiting areas. Please try to use these areas appropriately to minimize exposing well babies and children to illness.
We try to see all our patients as close to their appointment as possible so please make every effort to be on time. Occasionally despite our best efforts, we may run late. If you are unable to keep an appointment please call the office to cancel. If you cancel an appointment on the same day that is considered a missed appointment however, we do understand extenuating circumstances can happen, please be courteous and let us know.
Same Day Sick
Self schedule same day sick appointments by logging into your patient portal at the top right hand corner of our home page. Access your portal, select schedule appointment, select child, find appointment time, select schedule, and enter child's symptoms. It's that easy!
This is for minor illnesses (sore throat, ear pain, cold and coughs). Please do not book any long term complicated concerns during this time. This link will only work when the office is closed. Space is limited and when we are full no more appointments will show as available.
If you have any questions please call 508-324-6800.
Thank you
Appointment Required
All visits require an appointment except in the case of an emergency. Unfortunately, we are unable to see your child if you walk in without an appointment. We will ask you to return later in the day when the schedule allows.
Well Appointments
Did you know regular well child visits are one of the most important things you can do to keep your child healthy? Well child visits also provide you with the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s health.
Your child should have a well child visit at least yearly, unless under the age of 2. Younger children, under the age of 2, have multiple visits a year. We recommend that you call our office 3 months in advance to schedule an appointment with your child's primary care provider on the date that best fits your needs.

Sick Appointments
We make every effort to schedule appointments for sick children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time for a sick child appointment.
If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to an appropriate facility.

- choose the option to speak with a nurse/triage.
Pre-Book Sick Appointment
Book AppointmentYou are able to book your own appointment for a sick child via the patient portal. On line booking is available the night before once the office closes for the evening.
Your child can be seen if they are complaining of ear pain, sore throat, eye drainage, fever, rash, or other uncomplicated illnesses.
If your child is complaining of more complicated or chronic/ongoing complaints we ask that you call and speak with a nurse to set up an appointment. This includes, but is not limited to, complaints such as abdominal pain, constipation, anxiety/depression, dysuria, or headaches.
Nursing/Shot Appointment
You can schedule an appointment to come into the office for a quick nurse visit. During a nurse visit, your child will not see their primary care provider or another physician. These appointments are specifically for services that can be completed by our nursing staff.
Nurse visits may be used for services such as:
- Immunizations (shots)
- Hearing screening
- Vision screening
- Blood pressure checks
- Other brief nurse-performed health screenings or follow-up needs
Immunization (Shot) Visits
Shot visits are typically available most Tuesdays and Thursdays. We understand that every family’s schedule is different, and our team will work with you to find an appointment time that best meets your needs.
For safety and consent requirements:
A parent or legal guardian must be present for any child under the age of 18 receiving an immunization.
If someone other than a parent or legal guardian is bringing the child, appropriate consent documentation may be required.
Nurse visits are designed to provide convenient, efficient care while ensuring your child receives the services they need in a timely manner. If you are unsure whether your child needs a nurse visit or a provider appointment, our staff can help guide you when scheduling.

DNKA - Did Not Keep Appointment
We understand that unexpected situations happen, and we kindly ask that you contact our office as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. Calling to cancel or reschedule allows us the opportunity to offer that appointment time to another child who may need care.
An appointment is considered a DNKA (Did Not Keep Appointment) or no-show if you do not arrive for your scheduled visit and have not contacted the office to cancel or reschedule.
Please be aware of the following:
- Appointments canceled within one hour of the scheduled appointment time may still be considered a no-show appointment.
- If you arrive more than 20 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
- If you arrive late, your child may still be able to be seen if the provider’s schedule allows. This decision is at the provider’s discretion and depends on the needs of other scheduled patients.
- In some situations, you may need to wait longer to be seen if the provider is able to accommodate the visit.
- Patients who arrive on time for their appointments will be seen as scheduled and given priority.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please call our office if you know you will not be able to make your appointment so we can help another child receive timely care. Your consideration helps us provide better access and care for all of our patients and families.
Non-Emergency Walk-Ins
Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.
