Sick Child

Our triage nurses are available when our office is open to answer any questions you may have. Your wait on the phone for a nurse may be longer if you call during peak times. If possible please try between 9:30 - 4:00pm . We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

Walk Ins

Patients who walk in with a non-emergency condition will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.

Our office follows the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines regarding routine physicals. Each child over the age of 2 is expected to have one physical a year. We have designed our office to provide well and sick areas. Please try to use these areas appropriately to minimize exposing well babies and children to illness. We try to see all our patients as close to their appointment as possible so please make every effort to be on time. Occasionally despite our best efforts, we may run late. If you are unable to keep an appointment please call the office to cancel.

Our office is open evenings and weekends for sick children only. One of our pediatricians is on call 7 days a week. There are no posted hours for evenings and weekends because the office will only open for sick children if needed. There are only two holidays when the on-call physician is not available to see patients; Thanksgiving and Christmas, however they are available by telephone. If you have a sick child please call the office before going to the Emergency Room.

If an emergency should arise that you feel is life threatening please call 911. The doctors take non life threatening calls from their homes after hours. Call the main office number and our answering service will page the doctor to call you back.
